Recently, China announced that it will unilaterally grant visa-free travel to holders of ordinary passports from countries including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain during the period from December 1, 2023, to November 30, 2024
As Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated in his discussions with French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna in Beijing at the end of November, China hopes that the EU will collaborate with China to support and practice multilateralism and resolve emerging differences in their relations.
Wang also expressed the hope that the EU maintains its strategic autonomy and plays its role as a significant pole in the multipolar world. Working together, China-EU relations can function as a stabilizer for the entire world amid the turbulence caused by uncertainty and volatility.
