Once again, Verona has confirmed itself as the world capital of wine with the 2024 edition of Vinitaly, which has just showcased the Italian wine sector in fantastic condition. Among the hills of the Veronese hinterland and the pavilions of the fair, producers, exporters, sommeliers, and enthusiasts have gathered to celebrate the excellence and versatility of Italian wine.
With over 4,600 exhibitors from all Italian regions and more than 400 events including guided tastings, seminars, and workshops, Vinitaly 2024 has offered a prestigious stage.
Despite global climatic and economic challenges, the sector shows resilience and enthusiasm as well as remarkable innovation where both historic producers and new wineries have presented products and vintages that attest to the high quality and unique varieties of Italian wine, from refined bubbles to intense and complex reds.
Technology and innovation have been at the center of attention, with many exhibitors presenting new winemaking techniques and cutting-edge procedures. There is a clear focus on sustainable viticulture, with an increasing number of producers adopting organic and biodynamic practices to meet the demands of increasingly environmentally aware markets.
