BS Taste Italy's Tasting Tour in China Kicks Off with Loacker Wine Estate in Hangzhou
Anne, the export manager and brand ambassador of the company, along with Celine from BS Taste Italy, led operators, wine industry influencers, and Chinese journalists on an immersive experience in the Tuscan territory, virtually visiting two prestigious Loacker estates: Corte Pavone in Montalcino and Valdifalco in Maremma.
Since 1979, Loacker Estates have been distinguished for producing organic, biodynamic, and vegan wines. At Corte Pavone in Montalcino, they introduced the French concept of "cru", dividing the vineyards into 7 dynamic crus based on detailed studies of microclimate and microterroir. This approach has led to exceptional results in terms of quality and style.
The tasting began with the Vermentino from Tenuta Valdifalco Maremma DOC - a fresh and irresistible white, perfect for any pairing, with notes of fresh and intense Mediterranean fruit. Then came the Valdifalco Morellino di Scansano DOCG 2020 - a magnificent, spicy, and lively Sangiovese.
2015 Vintage was magical for two gems from Corte Pavone: Brunello di Montalcino Fior di Meliloto, with notes embracing dried plum, sage, and peppermint, and Anemone al Sole Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, a wine with a strong personality, extremely captivating and complex with an intense and mature bouquet.
Thanks to the expert guidance of Anne and Celine, participants were able to appreciate not only the exceptional production of Loacker Estates, but also the deep connection with the territory and the passion that animates every stage of the production process.
